Grades of the granite countertops

Besides color, you can categorize this stone by looking at its grade. Level one or entry-level granite is the first grade. At this level, the stone has the lowest quality. At this level, an entry-level granite is thinner. Most of these stones are imported from China.

The next level is level two or the mid-grade granite. The colors look better than stage one and the patterns look more complicated and unique. Also, it has an average thickness. These rocks are often imported from Brazil or India.

The last grade is level three or the high-grade granite which has the best quality. This grade is the best choice for granite countertops since you need them to last and look good.

Where do we use granite stone?

Granite rock is a plutonic rock. Which means it is made under the ground. The experts dig the ground, take out the rocks, scratch, and cut them to get the pure, precious granite. Then they have to polish it and cut it in the demanded sizes or use it to make granite countertops.

Granite has been a favorite material for many architects. Also, there are many famous uses of granite in history. For example, the great pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World is made out of granite bricks. Another nice example is Mount Rushmore, which is a granite mountain and has the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln carved on it.
